Our Mission
We abide by James Madison’s belief that ‘a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power that knowledge gives.’ This requires a basic education in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking. Our curriculum - tailored to small-group direct instruction - makes our students better scholars and citizens.

To fulfill George Washington’s final wish of creating a national school where the youth of America can “acquire knowledge in the principles of politics and good government."

A National crisis
Education reform is the civil rights issue of the 21st century. Sixty-four years after Brown v. Board of Education, we still have de facto segregation in our schools. The way public education is currently structured - delivered solely by government employees in government-run schools - is simply not working.
