Our Mission

We abide by James Madison’s belief that ‘a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power that knowledge gives.’ This requires a basic education in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking. Our curriculum - tailored to small-group direct instruction - makes our students better scholars and citizens.

Nate Braden
founder

After a wayward youth wandering the mean streets of Colorado Springs, Nate served eight years in the Marine Corps. He then returned to his native state to start an online publishing company and, eventually, Mile High Education Services. He considers himself a player-coach, and when he's not on the sidelines drawing up plays, you can find him in the classroom or in the field.

instructor

Enrique is from San Diego, California and holds a degree in International Affairs from University of Colorado, Boulder. He served 9 years in the U.S. Navy and specializes in Pashto and Korean.

Arianna Labrado
​Instructor

Arianna is from Florida and is studying International Affairs with an emphasis in the Middle East at University of Colorado, Boulder. She specializes in Arabic.

Ben grater
instructor

Ben is from Canton, Pennsylvania and has a degree in International Relations with a concentration in the Middle East and Africa. He served in the U.S. Army as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator and was deployed to Afghanistan between 2011-2012.

Colin shannon

INSTRUCTOR

Colin is originally from Sacramento, California and has a degree in International Affairs. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army Infantry before moving to Colorado. He loves spending time in the outdoors hiking, climbing, and camping.

Eric is from Billings, Montana and has a degree in International Relations and Political Science from University of Colorado, Boulder. He served 6 years in the U.S. Navy as an Arabic Linguist. ​

A National crisis

 Education reform is the civil rights issue of the 21st century. Sixty-four years after Brown v. Board of Education, we still have de facto segregation in our schools. The way public education is currently structured - delivered solely by government employees in government-run schools - is simply not working.
